If you've ever seen a professionally produced documentary film on public television, chances are you've seen the Pan and Zoom effect. DVD SlideShow has it.
MPV offers a set of protocols for standardizing the presentation of photos, videos, and audio across a variety of hardware and software platforms. DVD SlideShow lets you import MPV files as a photo slideshow for inclusion in your movie.

The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 1.1

Arcsoft DVD slideshow is a program to create DVDs and VCDs that can be played on a regualr DVD player.
It a very simple and easy to use program. The process consists of three simple steps. On the DVD design, there can be video files, pictures slideshows and power point files.
The first step is to import all the files desired. There is a bar showing the space of the disc that has been occupied. This bar goes from zero to nine Gb.
Video files can be trimmed from it’s begining and end. Slideshows can be created and power point files can be imported.
The font and size for the title can also be chosen here.
Second step is to desing the menu. There is a large list of themes that can be used as the DVD’s background. If wanted, it can also be set with any picture available in the computer. The menu may also play music. The buttoms can be customized using different frames and they can also be displayed in different positions.
Last step consists on having the finished project tested before burning on to a disk. Scripts can be saved and the disc can be labeled. There is also the chance to select if NTSC or PAL standard is desired.
